Today, Toyota announced it’s new wireless robot called T-HR3. This humanoid sized robot can be controlled with a wireless remote with a 5G wireless connection and can be controlled for up to 6 miles.
This is how it works: the operator can control the robot through its hands, arm, and foot movement and can virtually see everything that the robot experiences. Pretty cool huh?
Currently, the T-HR3 is used to help doctors, people with disabilities, the elderly and anyone who needs it medically. The only issue at hand is what good it will do if it’s not on pilot because there would have to be someone ready to control it. Apparently, there is talk that these robots could eventually move on their own and that’s pretty scary.
